I can officially admit it

I can officially say that i dont feel i belong to any place on this earth.

My culture shock is not becoz i lived in britain, it is becoz i lived in more than 3 countries in my life.. let me tell you "it is bad" so i will never do this to my kids.. this is my promise to myself

Hi,

Don't make hasty promises...

By not having a place you feel you belong to could also mean you can make any place on Earth your home. You're just a global traveller with nothing chaining you to any land. Not many people can do that.

Being in somwhat similar shoes as you are, I always say the place where my family is is my home. In the future when I'll have my own family (InshAllah) whereever we chose to live will be my home.

You don't need to belong to a place to know who you are

I know what you feel like... I believe it just makes you stronger... soon you will feel like you belong somewhere... not coz of the culture but coz of the attachments you end up having to that certain place..

:) you belong but you have to see things differently or lets say try to accept things the way you see them

i would love to live every 6 months in a new country but then go back to my home where i was born in :)

first, you are your own self (crap! this is deep) you have an advatage over most people in this world; you have lived in three different societies. your level of understanding of humans is deeper than the avergae and the above average person. we can throw you in some remote part of the world now and you will be able to manage just fine. don't deprive you children of such an opportunity.

but then why are you worried about kids now? is there something that we should know about? *wink wink*

you are right about ppl living in kuwait all their life and dont feel they belong here, i saw that with my own eyes and couldnt understand why but i believe it.

Temetwir:
oh trust me, Exceer is Exceer in any situation or land, my beliefs are the same and my character is what i formed it to be, nevertheless, ppl who surround you "daily" can always manage to drive you NUTS

Judy:
i was born in kuwait but i know jack about it, it makes me sad that i donno my country well, but thanks to god i had the best education and childhood outside kuwait, so it was not a total loss for me.

Jameed:
i will inform you once something serious happens ;), but the way you thought about it was right, when i was asked for marriage i realised all this was going on in my mind. i couldnt take the decision of me staying in q8 for the rest of my life with a husband and x amount of kids... toooooooo early

i think by living in 3 countries u had the chance to experience so many things , and be wise enough to face life . and that what makes ppl clever.
